Dylan Contreras (he/they) is a Brooklyn-based dancer and interdisciplinary creator.
Dylan augmented his training by studying ballet at Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts. He continued his training at The Boston Conservatory where he received a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance. During those fruitful years, Dylan was featured in works by Doug Varone, Juel D. Lane, and Dam Van Hyunh before graduating in May of 2020. Dylan premiered his film My Baby Chest Hairs, after receiving an artistic grant from 305 Fitness. He has been happy to safely reconnect with pavement dance, as well as work with Hivewild, and Jon Batiste.
I dance for every little Black boy who longs to see someone, who looks like them, doing the thing they love most in the world.
